Bruce Byers does it again

Bruce is certainly in form at the moment. On Saturday 24th of August Bruce fired a very impressive 79 to win the B grade gross at the Worrigee Links Open by 5 shots. Well done Bruce!

Nowra visitor gets in on the act

Regular visitor David Hogg, from Nowra Golf Club, has achieved a hole in one in the Wednesday 4/9 comp on the super shot 7th hole. Some reports have it that he rebounded from a palm tree, while others swear that he skipped it over the water. More realistic reports are that he hit a pure wedge onto the green and into the hole. Whatever the way, well played David.

Phil Hahn scores an eagle.

On Wednesday 11/9/13 on the sixteenth hole, Phil hit a superb shot from the fairway into the hole for a great eagle. This was even more meritorious as the hole was playing into a very strong westerly wind which caused most players to lay-up. Reports are that Phil was undecided as to what club to hit. Obviously he hit the right one. Well played and enjoy those six balls as a reminder of a great shot.

Did I make the cut?

After round 2 of the championship a cut will be made of the top 12 in each grade (plus ties) and the next 4 best nett scores. If you make the cut then you will need to find out your tee times for the third and fourth rounds. These will be published in the daily cow and copies will be left in the office and at the golf shop and on the notice board. The rest of us who don’t make the cut will play for the Jamberoo Plate on the Saturday.

Good luck to all. Play well.
