Ellsmore scores an ace

Popular member John Ellsmore has achieved a ‘hole-in-one’ on the third hole on Wednesday 19th of March. John’s recovery from hand surgery must be complete with his perfectly struck shot. John will receive 6 balls as well as having his ball mounted as a memento of that special shot. Great shot that!

Steve Jackson eagles the 5 th

White Horse cup player Steve Jackson has played the 5th hole in 2, hitting his perfectly struck sand wedge into the hole in the same comp last Wednesday. Steve was trying out his new set of sticks so I guess he is happy with them. Enjoy the 6 ball reward!

Old fella shoots under his age

Steve Rippon has fired a 61 off the stick in the comp on Wednesday 12th of March, shooting 9 birdies in his round for a nett 44 points on the day. This was good enough for him to win the comp. Who said low markers can’t win. Well played Steve, not bad for an ‘old fella with a walking stick’!

Winning pair fail to score 100 in 2Ball Multiplier (but they came close)

Ray Orr and John Hol have combined brilliantly to score 99 points in Saturday’s 2 ball  multiplier event winning by 12 points from Ian Bradburn and Les Farkas. The rest of us can only dream of such scores. Well played to both pairs. Afternoon players found conditions rather tough on the day suffering a torrential downpour and hail storm.
